Meet Leo Falzon, BSc, MScPT

Leo Falzon is a physiotherapist based in Victoria, BC, practicing at The Athlete Centre and Capitol Physiotherapy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of Victoria and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. A former provincial-level soccer player, Leo’s passion for injury rehabilitation began after his own knee injuries were poorly managed, leading to years of setbacks and secondary injuries. Now, with over five years of clinical experience, he’s dedicated to giving others the tools he wishes he had: simple, effective strategies to build strength, mobility, and athleticism so they can keep doing what they love. Before becoming a physiotherapist, Leo worked as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. He continues to draw heavily on exercise physiology and strength training principles in his treatment approach. Outside the clinic, he stays active through surfing, skiing, and kickboxing, giving him a broad perspective on the demands of different sports.

Meet Brandon Kuemper, BSc, MPT

Brandon Kuemper is a physiotherapist and clinic owner passionate about helping people move better and stay active for life. He combines clinical expertise, real-world experience, and a practical approach to guide clients from pain to progress. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Biology, Psychology, and Business from the University of Victoria and a Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia, with extensive experience in rural and remote communities. He is committed to removing the social determinants of health and empowering people to take control of their health and mobility, no matter where they live. Outside the clinic, he enjoys the beautiful west coast by fishing, hiking, skiing, golfing, and mountain biking. When he isn't outside, you can find him playing hockey and working out in the gym.

Life Long Friendship

Brandon and Leo first met while completing prerequisite courses for their undergraduate degrees. Their mutual love of health and fitness along with academics helped them strike a unique friendship, supporting one another throughout their undergraduate degrees at the University of Victoria, and tackling the competitive landscape of applying to Physiotherapy schools. Although distance separated them for a time - Leo moving to Toronto and Brandon to Vancouver for their respective Master’s degrees - they stayed closely connected throughout their graduate training, and have since continued to support one another through the early years of building clinical expertise in the real world. From early on, Leo and Brandon have always dreamt of collaborating to create an online resource to share their passion for movement with the world. Fit With Physio is the culmination of this idea - a creation of years in the making. They are incredibly honoured to share it with the world. It’s hard to know who to trust in the fitness and rehab industry. Leo and Brandon are committed to sharing honest, evidence-based information with the masses, in a way that goes deeper than a 10-second, catchy, instagram reel.
